Holy Crap.
Sep. 18th, 2006 09:41 amI went to Madison over the weekend for a wedding, so I wasn't really paying attention to the news in the Twin Cities. I drove back early Sunday, and then spent most of the afternoon at the bird rescue. So I didn't realize until late last night that there was a gigantic tornado that hit one of the suburbs near work. And when I got into work this morning, I found out that at least one of my coworker's house was destroyed (Peju, for those of you who are familiar with names of my coworkers). Another one spent the weekend in Saint Paul, and is only just now going to see if her house is damaged. They're sending groups of people from work to help out with organizing the things in Peju's storage locker and to help pack up anything salvageable that she didn't get out of her house yesterday. So, instead of spending all day working on the method I'm developing, I'll probably go help out with the tornado clean-up later this morning.
