Economic Meme
Jan. 2nd, 2008 07:55 pmI'm not going to be filling out the economic meme. If you're interested in some serious and interesting discussion about privilege, go check out my sister's lj. My observations about the meme are far more trite. To quote, with emphasis mine, from what I think is the original text:
"The list is based on an exercise developed by Will Barratt, Meagan Cahill, Angie Carlen, Minnette Huck, Drew Lurker, Stacy Ploskonka at Illinois State University. The exercise developers ask that if you participate in this blog game, you acknowledge their copyright."
Blog game? I've never seen that terminology applied to a meme anywhere on the internet. Has anyone else? It kind of makes me want to take the researchers by the hand and tell them that it's okay to leave the ivory tower, no one will take their PhD's away if they actually deign to read these blogs-things the proletariat and grad students seem so into.
