I enjoyed all of the shows I saw yesterday - I'll put up reviews in a bit, but for now here are the shows I'm planning to see this evening.

7 PM: Breaking Down in America
Comedy writer/actor Pat Devine bought a $500 Cadillac and drove it (as far as he could) across America. Using photos and videos from the trip, this is the story of a car, a man and the American road.

8:30 PM: Run to Shelter
The blurb is below, but I don't think it really tells you much about what to expect from it. It's a dance piece, and it has been recommended by a number of people I've been in line with for other shows.
Blurb: Raw emotion momentarily captured, this concert features explorations of relationships in the award-winning tradition established by this powerful company as it couples vivid poetic images with dramatic intent.

10 PM: Communopoly
Monopoly comes alive! And it’s complete with players, properties, the element of Chance and Uncle Milburn Pennybags: “Mr. Monopoly” himself. But the game goes awry when one of the players, strapped for cash, appeals to Pennybags for help and is told to get out of town. With help from a Little Red Book she finds on the Short Line Railroad, she embarks on a subversive quest to change the rules of Monopoly for the greater good. As the proletarian movement grows in strength, Uncle Pennybags begins to lose control of his game. More and more players are sent directly to jail, without passing go, without collecting $200. When the ghost of Josef Stalin meets the spirit of Joe McCarthy, who will win? And more importantly, who wins the game?

All of these shows are at Intermedia Arts, on Lyndale Ave in Uptown. As with before, no need to call or text, just show up and look for me in the lobby. I'm skipping the 5:30 slot since I want a little down time today between work and Fringe. However, if any of you want to make a full evening of it at Intermedia, my friend Jessica's show is in the 5:30 slot there. I know I'm not an objective reviewer, but it's been well-received so far by people who don't know her and I do highly recommend it.
Reviews are behind the cut. I started composing them between shows tonight - but I need to get to bed, so they're pretty short for the most part.

Ballad of a Pale Fisherman, A Nice Guy's Guide to Awkward Sex, There Is No Isabelle, Show Goons, and The Damn Audition )

There are still three performances left for each of these - the Fringe isn't even half over yet! So there's still plenty of time to get out and catch the performances that interest you.
