Trick-or-Treaters

So far I've only had one kid per bag of candy I got. I hope things speed up a bit soon, otherwise I'm going to have to figure out a way to surreptitiously bulk up my nieces' candy haul or something.

Update (as of 8:20): Fortunately I won't be having to eat 6 bags of candy by myself. I ended up getting about a 7 kids/bag ratio which was more what I was expecting. I gave out two pieces of candy per kid, and I only have about 1 bag's worth left. Yay! The best kiddie costume I saw was a very tiny Little Bo Peep. Other than that it was lot's of princess's, ghosts, and superheroes.

We went through 150 pieces of candy.

Fortunately while I was in Target today, I thought, "I really don't feel like we have quite enough candy" and bought two more bags, because we had NONE left over.

I had originally bought 4 bags at Walgreens. Then when I was at Target last weekend I bought two more bags because they were way on sale, and they had some types of candy bar that Walgreen's hadn't had. I had 44 kids come to the door, and gave each two pieces of candy. So, all told, I went through 88 pieces. I have one Take 5 bar left, a few Twix bars, a few more Heath bars, and a bunch of bite sized dark chocolate Dove nuggets. If you feel despondent in your lack of leftover candy, I'd still be happily to surreptitiously up your or the girls' stash. :)

And also - wow on the 150 pieces! Did you give each kid one piece or two? Either way, that's a lot of kids.

There were a few kids who got two pieces, but most got one.
